Plamen Panchev

Eng. Plamen Panchev is the founder of Trakia Economic Zone (TEZ). In 2013, he pooled within the said brand the 6 industrial zones surrounding the second largest Bulgarian city Plovdiv. Further on, eng. Panchev started up ‘Cluster Trakia Economic Zone’. Speaking of which, that association is meant to support the development of TEZ sourcing investors along with the smart supply of a comprehensive service package. Trakia Economic Zone is the largest-scale industrial zone which enjoys the most sustainable development in Bulgaria, moreover, in Southeastern Europe. It has proven a successful PPP model. In 2018, thanks to the steady upward go of Trakia Economic Zone, Plovdiv city ranked among the top 3 in terms of ‘Foreign Direct Investment Strategy’in the ranking of European Cities of the Future 2018/2019 (Top 10 Small European Cities of the Future 2018/2019) as
reported by the reputable British publication ‘Financial Times’. Plovdiv region ranked fourth in terms of the same strategy in the ranking of the world media.
Eng. Panchev is Chairman at the Board of Directors of SIenit Holding Jsc., the first private developer of industrial zones on Bulgarian level, and a leader in the property development and engineering industries. It was Sienit Holding who back in 1996 started up the development of the first private industrial zone in Bulgaria which comes presently within the structure of Trakia Economic Zone. Thus far as many as 180 Bulgarian and foreign companies have made their choice for establishing their business in the scheme, some of which leaders in their industries. Investments adding upward of EUR 3 billion (for a 22-year span) along with the opening of 30 000 jobs. In the last 2 years we have been working on a project for carbon neutrality, more precisely Zero Carbon Industrial Parks / ZCIP /.
