Dimitar Dimitrov

Dimitar has 20+ years of experience in the IT industry and is by heart and soul a software engineer. He serves as CEO of Digital Lights – software company specialized in Mobility and Deep Tech solutions. Prior to Digital Lights, he was a R&D VP at one of the largest software companies in the world.
Mr. Dimitrov has graduated from a mathematical high-school and is a Sofia University Informatics alumnus. Along with his computer science education, he holds a MBA degree from Sheffield University. As a big fan of applied science, Dimitar lectures at Sofia University, Faculty of Mathematics & Informatics, where he is also a member of the Alumni Board.
Dimitar actively contributes to the Bulgarian IT ecosystem by driving the Technics, Technology & Innovation Committee at the German-Bulgarian Chamber of Industry & Commerce. He’s been listed in the „40 under 40” most influential Bulgarian IT leaders for his efforts in various academic initiatives such as programming school for kids, IT courses in universities, informatics olympiads and others.
