Catalin Cretu

Catalin Cretu is General Manager at Visa Europe for Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia and Slovenia. He became part of Visa in 2004, taking over the management of the company’s operations in Bulgaria and Romania. After joining the EU in 2007 and reorganizing into Visa Europe, the two countries found themselves in different sub-regions. Cretu took over regional management of markets in Romania, Croatia, Slovenia and later Malta. In 2021, after a new reorganization, the branches in Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia and Slovenia became part of the Central European region for Visa Europe and so, almost 15 years later, Bulgaria re-entered the region for which Cretu is responsible.
