PhD Mathematical Logic & Computer Science
Dr. Solomon Passy is the Bulgarian Minister of Foreign Affairs (2001-2005) who negotiated and signed the Agreements of Bulgaria for memberships in both, NATO and the EU. These two projects were triggered also by Solomon’s bills in 1990 when he served as MP in the Grand National Assembly of Bulgaria. He served also as Chairman of UN Security Council, Chairman-in-Office of OSCE and Chairman of Parliament’s Foreign and Defense Committees.
He holds PhD in Mathematical Logic and Computer Science and worked on the fundaments of AI. He, his wife Gergana and their team spearheaded innovative European solutions as the universal GSM charger (2008–2022) and the Pan-European Strategy “Health Shield Europe” (2020) providing efficient provisions to reduce the risk of new zoonotic, Covid-type pandemics. Solomon is the Founding President (1990) of the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria — the only pro-Atlantic NGO being created on a Warsaw Pact territory currently addressing global security issues.
Today Solomon is devoted to sending third Bulgarian Astronaut to Space and runs the Youth Space & STEAM Festival “Hello Space”. Peak Passy on Livingstone Island, Antarctica, commemorates his contribution to Bulgaria’s permanent presence on Antarctica.
